The Taliban Accomplished What Biden Couldn't
What’s the old adage, the enemy of my enemy is my friend?
The Taliban is a vile terrorist militia, and it will never be our friend, but they just did the United States a favor by taking out the “mastermind” of the bombing attack that took the lives of 13 U.S. troops in Afghanistan during Biden’s botched withdrawal. It took our enemy to achieve the retribution that our President promised, and never delivered.
As reported by Fox News:
The ISIS-K terrorist who directed the August 2021 suicide bombing that killed 13 U.S. service members during the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan has been killed by the Taliban, a senior administration official told Fox News Digital.
The official said the Biden administration had “recently become aware” that the ISIS-K operative behind the suicide bombing at the Abbey Gate of Hamid Karzai International Airport on Aug. 26, 2021, was eliminated “in a Taliban operation.” The bombing took the lives of 11 Marines, one Navy sailor and one Army soldier. Eighteen other U.S. service members were wounded. The bombing also left more than 150 civilians dead.
President Biden publicly vowed to the perpetrators of the Abbey Gate massacre: “We will hunt you down and make you pay.”
Well, the terrorist who planned out the attack has finally received the retribution he was due, but it wasn’t U.S. forces that carried out that justice. It was the Taliban. The same disgusting group that reportedly went door-to-door in Afghanistan after U.S. forces left, looking for young girls and unmarried women. The butchers who we told you executed over 100 Afghan troops for their loyalty to the United States. These terrorists did what our President didn’t, showing his words again were – and remain – empty. I hate saying that, but it’s the truth.
When questioned about the President’s lack of response to the Abbey Gate attack, and the fact that it was the Taliban that did our job for us, White House official John Kirby attempted to spin it as some kind of validation for Biden’s disastrous handling of Afghanistan, claiming:
I think it validates the President’s decision to leave Afghanistan altogether. You don’t need to have a big presence on the ground, boots on the ground to go after terrorist threats, whether they’re in Afghanistan or elsewhere. Now, look, the Taliban killed this individual. I think it’s a good thing that he’s gone.
The only part of Kirby’s answer that I agree with is that last line. It is good that this evil mastermind is gone. But it’s not good that our enemies did it for us. That our President did all that grandstanding, promising to hunt these terrorists to the ends of the earth, and instead turned his back on the families of the victims, as well as our civilians and allies still in Afghanistan. Biden probably thought those 13 troops would be forgotten, their unnecessary deaths swept under the rug, and would never come back to haunt him. He likely never imagined our sworn enemy, the Taliban, would bring his great failure and betrayal of our servicemen and women right back into the headlines.
And to be clear, the Taliban didn’t kill this man for the United States. They did it in spite of us. They have their own fight with ISIS-K. If you’re surrounded by two hungry lions, and one takes out the other, you’re still left with a hungry lion – one you know isn’t afraid to kill. The Taliban remains our enemy, and the last thing the U.S. needs is them hanging this over our heads on the world stage.
The United States looks weak and exposed, thanks to Biden’s incompetence. China flew a spy balloon right over our heads, and Biden did nothing. Now we’ve learned that our enemy Iran just brazenly seized an oil tanker that was headed for Texas. What does that tell you? Our enemies are not afraid to mess with us any longer.
Who’ll test us next? Russia? North Korea? As long as our President’s foreign policies and responses continue to make us look foolish and docile, our country will be more vulnerable than ever before.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more analysis of news of the Taliban taking out the key ISIS-K leader responsible for the death of our soldiers and how Biden’s weakness has once again put the U.S. in a dangerous position. We were also joined by the Sekulow team’s Senior Military and Political Analyst Tulsi Gabbard and ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell, who shares his reaction to this latest report and agrees that “the world is laughing at us.”
