SHOCKING Response From White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre When Asked About Antisemitism
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) said Biden’s Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, gave a “weak answer” during a White House press briefing when asked about rising antisemitism in the U.S. Since the conflict began in Israel, the Anti-Defamation League has reported more than 100 antisemitic incidents, prompting Rep. Moskowitz to say the Biden Administration “must do better” in recognizing attacks on Jewish Americans.
Democratic Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz slammed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday for downplaying the potential for antisemitic hate crimes as Israel wages war against Hamas terrorists.
Jean-Pierre argued that the White House hasn’t seen “any credible threats” against the Jewish community before flipping through her notes during Monday’s press briefing and declaring that Muslims and Arab Americans “have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks.”
“What a weak answer. And why are you looking in the book? What’s the approved answer?” Moskowitz, who is Jewish, said in an X post.
“The simple answer is yes, you are concerned about the rise of antisemitism. Of course we are also worried about hatred against Muslim Americans. Must do better,” the Florida lawmaker added.
Rep. Moskowitz is absolutely correct. For example, we are seeing attacks on Jewish American students on college campuses coast to coast. It’s often veiled as “anti-Zionism” rather than “antisemitism”– but they can’t cloak what is truly happening. Right now, pro-Palestinian groups are promoting blatant antisemitism. It is reprehensible and must stop.
Unfortunately, Jean-Pierre’s focus seemed to be on Muslim students being attacked. We are obviously against unjust attacks on Muslim students, but was that the question? No. Her answer shows the absurdity of what’s taking place on college campuses and the indifference of the Biden Administration.
Again, keep in mind that these groups are celebrating horrific rapes and murders committed by Hamas terrorists – acts so gruesome that we can’t even discuss them on the radio. Such dangerous rhetoric praising these war crimes will only lead to further attacks against Jewish Americans.
Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon joined our broadcast to discuss the dangerous antisemitic rhetoric on college campuses:
This is the narrative from college campus leaders, the faculty, [and] the administration, where there’s total disregard for Jewish students, for people who support Israel, for people who happen to be Jewish, whether they support Israel or not. In fact, they’re aggressively going against them. . . . We represent students right now at the ACLJ who are being attacked by their schools by their administrations because they have expressed concerns about, for example, Days of Rage [and] Days of Resistance that groups have been calling for, which means literally calling for genocide and have resulted across the country in physical violence against Jewish students.
Why is it so difficult for the Biden Administration to state directly that it abhors antisemitic protests on college campuses? Why is free speech okay when it leads to Jewish students being assaulted, but if you say something offensive to the Left, you should be kicked off campus? This should be unacceptable to all Americans. Unfortunately, this irrational double standard is not just happening on college campuses but also on job sites across America.
The silence of the Administration on the rising antisemitism speaks loudly to everyone. Something must change immediately in the Administration’s messaging – Jewish Americans’ safety and lives are at stake.
We also can’t allow the mainstream media and pro-Palestinian groups to make a moral equivalency between the terrorists’ attack that resulted in 1,400 dead Jewish men, women, and children with the deaths of terrorists as Israel defends itself.
We saw this last week when the media jumped on the news regarding the jihadist rocket that hit an Israeli hospital. It allowed the media and these pro-Palestinian groups to mobilize and incorrectly blame Israel for a self-inflicted rocket attack.
But we now know that Palestinian terrorists were behind the attack. And we must hold the mainstream media and these groups accountable for being so irresponsible in promoting false narratives about Israel.
We are working tirelessly to defend Israel both here and abroad. Most recently, we just delivered a letter of support to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Join our efforts to defend Israel by becoming an ACLJ Champion.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast fully analyzed the Administration’s failures to recognize the rising antisemitism in the U.S., the ACLJ’s victory at the European Parliament, Biden’s open border policies that are allowing terrorists into America, and the Pentagon’s reports that Iran’s “fingerprints are all over” recent attacks on U.S. troops.
