Biden Launches “Islamophobia” Task Force as Antisemitism Plagues U.S.
Amid incendiary anti-Israel protests in the United States and the Middle East, the Biden Administration has announced a national strategy to fight Islamophobia. So as antisemitism is plaguing the U.S. and radical Muslims are killing Jews in Israel, the Biden Administration is shifting its focus to combating Islamophobia. All this despite FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony that Jews experience the brunt of religious hate crimes in America.
This all begs the question, what is the motivating factor behind this Biden Administration announcement?
The Biden administration announced Wednesday it would establish a national strategy to counter Islamophobia just one day after a poll showed Arab-American support for the president and his fellow Democrats was tanking.
The announcement also comes a day after FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Homeland Security Committee that despite being just 2.4% of the American public, attacks on Jewish-Americans accounted for “something like 60% of all religious-based hate crimes.” . . .
According to the Tuesday Reuters/Zogby poll, just 17% of Arab-Americans expressed support for Biden, a tremendous drop from the 59% support he got in 2020. His support from the group had already fallen to 35% before the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.
Israel just suffered a murderous attack from Hamas terrorists that left 1,400 Israelis dead, hostages are still in mortal danger, and Jewish students in America are having to hide on college campuses because of radical antisemitic demonstrations.
But the Biden Administration is concerned about Islamophobia? Clearly, the President is pandering to the far-Left radicals within his party and trying to win Arab-American voters. The timing illustrates the tone-deafness of the Administration.
Senator Bill Hagerty (TN) joined the show to discuss the internal emails from the State Department that set off alarm bells indicating that taxpayer funds could be going to jihadist terrorists. Hagerty pressed Secretary of State Antony Blinken to ensure no more taxpayer dollars go to Hamas or other Iran-backed terrorists:
I asked Secretary Blinken if he could assure me that the aid dollars the United States has already sent into Gaza weren’t involved in supporting Hamas’s attack on October 7th. He couldn’t assure me of that. He doesn’t know, clearly. I asked him point blank three times, and three times I kept coming back to the question as he kept trying to evade it. He could not answer me that American dollars aren’t basically funding both sides of this war. . . . I don’t want to see a dime of American taxpayer dollars going to Hamas so that they can use that again, in turn, to kill more Israeli citizens – and include Americans in that as well.
So Blinken can’t ensure that taxpayer dollars won’t go to Hamas or Iran – big shock. Don’t forget that Biden already put a price tag on the heads of Americans by recently paying Iran a $6 billion ransom for hostages.
America needs a leader who can stand up to Hamas and Iran and let the world know we’ve got Israel’s back. We must hold the Administration accountable for foreign policy decisions that endanger Americans and our ally Israel.
The ACLJ continues to defend Israel at the U.N. Just yesterday, we delivered a demand letter to all 15 members of the U.N. Security Council demanding action on Israel’s behalf. We won’t stop advocating on behalf of our ally.
Yesterday we launched our Faith & Freedom Drive. We are redoubling our efforts in the fight to preserve both faith and freedom – two essential cornerstones of the American dream. Donate today, and your gift will be doubled. We need your support.
Today’s Sekulow broadcast fully analyzed the potential motivations behind Biden’s new national strategy to combat Islamophobia and gave updates on the ACLJ’s ongoing trial in Colorado to preserve voting rights. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo joined to discuss the hostage situation in Gaza.
