SARASOTA, Fla. - A Bradenton pastor who was held in a Haitian prison is now home with his wife.

A family contact says the pastor, 29-year old Daniel Pye, took a small plane from Haiti to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport Thursday night, landing around 9:00 p.m.

The plane brought the Bradenton pastor home to his pregnant wife and young daughter after a 5-month stint in a squalid Haitian jail.

"He suffered from a number of diseases, probably the worst of which is malaria. He only got about an hour outside the cell every day. We're talking about a 10-by-12 cell with 25 other people," said attorney Jordan Sekulow.

We Skyped with Sekulow, a counsel for a Christian legal organization called American Center for Law and Justice. The group, with worldwide offices, helped free Pye after they say a judge threw him in jail without cause or charges. . . .
