UPDATE: FL Legislation Moving Forward

I just got a report from Drew Ryun, our Director of Governmental Affairs who is in Florida.  A bill that would bar the removal of feeding and hydration tubes to people who don't have a written living will has cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee by a vote of 7-2.  There was an amendment added that also dealt with the guardianship issue.  This legislation is very important and our team in Florida will continue to monitor developments.  Drew continues to update the legislative leadership in Florida regarding the fact that more than 30,000 people have signed on to our petition urging legislative action in Terri's case.  I will keep you posted as new developments occur.
