UPDATE: Congressional Subpoenas Being Issued in Terri Schiavo Matter

I am getting reports that attorneys for the House Government Reform Committee are in Florida to issue Congressional subpoenas in the Terri Schiavo matter.  Reports indicate that subpoenas will be delivered to Michael Schiavo, Terri's husband, who has a court order to remove her feeding tube in two hours.  Subpoenas will also be issued to Terri and medical officials at the hospice where Terri lives.  I am told the subpoenas will require that Terri continue to receive nutrition and hydration as Congress holds hearings on this matter in the weeks ahead.  Also, A Senate committee is requesting that Terri and her husband appear before the Senate Health Committee for a hearing on March 28th.

On the legislative front, there are reports that both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House are delaying their Easter break to continue working on legislation to save the life of Terri.
