Efforts have intensified on the legal front regarding the Terri Schiavo case.  Yesterday I reported that the Supreme Court of the United States refused to hear the Schiavo matter.  At issue was the law passed by Governor Bush in Florida designed to keep Terri Schiavo alive.  The Florida Supreme Court struck the law down as unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court of the United States refused to hear the appeal of Governor Bush regarding Terris Law.  Yesterday on our radio broadcast, we had David Gibbs, the attorney who is handling some of the Florida legal matters for the Schindlers, Terris parents.  At this point, there is a hearing scheduled for Friday on two motions which will have a direct impact on this case.

At the same time, I have been in contact with Governor Bushs counsel, Ken Connor, about the legislative options that might be available to preserve Terris life.  If we do not succeed legally or through the legislative process, Terris life supportconsisting of food and hydrationwill be removed.  This would literally result in her being starved to death.  We are very concerned about this issue and are looking at all legislative and legal options at this point.

There were a number of articles in the paper yesterday concerning this particular case, and I encourage you to visit www.aclj.org to get more information and for frequent updates on this matter.  We hope to have additional reports towards the end of this week.  In the meantime, be in prayer for our attorneys as we plan legal strategies to preserve the life of this disabled woman.
