Richard Grenell Joins the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) as Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell, is joining The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ). Grenell will serve as Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy.
"Acting Director Grenell will be joining the ACLJ as of today, and will be appearing regularly on Jay Sekulow Live, which airs each weekday at Noon Eastern,” says ACLJ Executive Director, Jordan Sekulow. “He brings his broad foreign policy, national security, intelligence and political experience to this new role and we are honored to have him on the team.”
Grenell was a member of President Donald J. Trump’s Cabinet, advising the President directly and regularly while serving as Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) in 2020. Previously, Grenell served as the U.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2018 to 2020, and as a U.S. State Department spokesperson to the United Nations under four different U.S. ambassadors during the George W. Bush administration.
“I’m excited to be joining the ACLJ,” says Grenell. "I have admired their work for years. This group has been instrumental in defending religious freedom here and around the world, and upholding the Constitution. Two issues that I also consider of utmost importance, especially as faith and liberty continually fall under attack. I look forward to being a part of their incredible organization.”
"Having Acting Director Grenell, a former cabinet member and U.S. Ambassador, on board to offer his expert analysis, showcases our unwavering commitment to continually evolve our media presence,” says Logan Sekulow, ACLJ’s Director of Media. "Our worldwide coverage is shaping the future and this is another great addition to the team. I know our audience will enjoy watching, listening, and reading his unique perspective."
Adds ACLJ Chief Counsel, Jay Sekulow: “It has been an honor to work with Acting Director Grenell on significant global issues over the years. I will always be grateful to Ric for welcoming our client, Pastor Andrew Brunson, with an American flag on the runway in Germany at 2:00 a.m., after his release from Turkish prison. I know his advice and counsel will be an invaluable benefit to our organization.”
