Remembering the Holocaust
Early this morning, I departed from the United States for a trip to Poland at the invitation of the Israeli government. The purpose of my trip was to participate in a Holocaust Memorial that took place at the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland. The experience at Auschwitz was somber and emotional. In my own family, 200 of my relatives perished at the hands of the Nazis during World War II.
The Memorial Service in Krakow, Poland, which at one time boasted a Jewish population of 60,000, was a tremendous experience to the testimony of Gods sovereignty in protecting a remnant of the Jewish people even during the Nazi regime. After a series of meetings tomorrow, I will be departing Poland for Jerusalem.
In Jerusalem, I will be meeting with lawyers whom we work with in Israel. In addition, we have a number of distinguished appointments with the highest level of Israeli officials. I will provide an update over the days ahead. The impact of this trip will be significant to advance our cause at this critical time in world history.
