He’s at it again. President Joe Biden just used another joke to answer a question about the horrific Nashville shooting at a Christian school that took the lives of three young children and three adult staff members.

Remember, yesterday we told you how the President thought it was acceptable to begin his address about this horrible shooting by joking about how much he loves ice cream. It was terribly inappropriate and showed a lack of good judgment, at best. But now he’s done it again. When asked by a reporter if he felt the Covenant School shooting was a religious hate crime, as a Republican Senator had implied, Biden chose to make light of the situation yet again.

As reported by the New York Post:

President Biden laughed off a question from a reporter on Tuesday about whether the transgender shooter at a Christian elementary school in Nashville was targeting people of faith.

“I have no idea,” Biden, 80, told the media assembled outside the White House on Tuesday when asked if Monday’s deadly shooting rampage that claimed the lives of three children and three adults at the Covenant School in Tennessee was an attack targeting Christians.

When told that Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) believed that the attack did target Christian believers, Biden’s response raised eyebrows.

“Well, I probably don’t, then,” Biden said, chuckling after the remark, and then adding, “No, I’m joking. No, I have no idea.”

We have tried to be fair when we report about President Biden when others haven’t, especially in regard to his mental acuity. But what in the world is he thinking, making jokes, not once but TWICE, when discussing one of the most gut-wrenching, UNFUNNY atrocities – the murder of innocent children in their school – that we can possibly imagine?

There is no way to address this tragedy except with dignity, humility, and empathy. Not humor. Someone on his staff needs to pull this President aside and tell him to stop improvising and joking about a tragedy. Unfortunately, the President isn’t alone. We’ve seen others, clearly on the Left, making jokes, mocking conservatives for offering prayers over the sad situation. How can we expect anyone to show the proper respect when the alleged leader of our nation won’t? He’d rather talk about ice cream and make partisan jokes against the other side. I am trying to remain respectful of the office, but the President’s attitude about this makes my blood boil. I’ve driven past Covenant School twice since the shooting, and it’s all I can do to keep from getting sick. I find Biden’s attempts at levity offensive.

And now there are trans groups trying to justify this nightmare, saying it was the only way this particular trans person felt they could be seen. And some have even called for a Trans Day of Vengeance. Even the press secretary of the Governor of Arizona tweeted for more violence FROM the trans community. Are you kidding me?

We don’t care what pronouns the shooter used – they were a monster who murdered innocent children. And anyone calling for some Trans Day of Vengeance or for acts of revenge from the trans community needs to be investigated and held accountable for this dangerous – and, as we’ve seen, deadly – rhetoric. Fortunately, while we were on the air, reports came out that the Arizona press secretary had resigned, which we are confident actually means she was told to leave.

Killing schoolchildren is not how you create positive change for your cause – it’s how you create more enemies, activate more extremists, and spawn more violence and chaos. Too many lines that should never be crossed are being crossed, trampled, and obliterated, and the results have been horrifying. It has to stop now.

Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more discussion of the President’s inappropriate joking at a time of national mourning. We also discuss how Biden’s Secretary of Homeland Security appeared before a Senate committee and refused to give answers for the crisis at our southern border.
