The Proposition 8 case is not simply about the definition of marriage; its actually quite a far-reaching issue: whether a state high court can throw out your vote simply because it disagrees with your views. According to the ACLU, Lambda Legal, National Center for Lesbian Rights, Americans United, and others aligned with them ... THE VOTES OF THE MAJORITY SHOULD BE THROWN OUT.

If the California Supreme Court decides to comply, the implications are grave. Any court, any judge, will be free to over-reach in any case, on any issue and your own vote, as a citizen in this democracy, could easily become meaningless.
