Much to be Thankful for During the Holidays

Though I was raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I'm spending Thanksgiving in New York City and I couldn't be happier. If you're up to speed with the work and mission my family is engaged in, you'll understand why I'm thankful.

In December 2007, I finished my law school exams and hopped a plane to Des Moines, Iowa to work the Iowa Caucus full-time in January. Throughout my career in politics, I never had the opportunity to work a contested caucus. My family understood how important having this experience was to me and made absolutely no protest about my Christmas absence.
