The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) is threatening to sue Lane Community College if it doesn't rehire Barry Sommer and reinstate the "What is Islam?" class he was supposed to teach.

The ACLJ was founded by Pat Robertson.

Sommer was scheduled to teach the class until the Islamic Council for American-Islamic relations protested, saying the class would be anti-Islamic.

Its critics though say the group is tied to the terrorist group Hamas.

The ACLJ is giving the school until next Wednesday to respond and take corrective action or face possible legal action in federal court.
