New York City's city council is considering a proposal to place restrictions on pro-life pregnancy care centers.

The proposal, backed by the major pro-abortion organizations, is designed -- according to New York pro-life groups -- to shut the centers down. Jordan Sekulow of the American Center for Law & Justice tells OneNewsNow that the ordinance, if passed, would require the pro-life centers to post specific messages.

"[Signs that say such things as] 'We do not perform abortions here'...'There are not always medical staff on call here'...'You will not be able to receive birth control here.' That's what these regulations would be like," he explains. "And if you violated them, you could spend up to six months in jail."
