Iran’s radical Islamic regime has sentenced American Pastor Saeed Abedini to eight years’ imprisonment in one of Iran’s most brutal and deadly prisons – simply because of his Christian faith.

This action violates Iran’s own constitution and violates multiple international human rights treaties that Iran has voluntarily and willingly signed.

At the ACLJ, we are launching an international campaign asking the United Nations, European Union, and Council of Europe to mobilize their resources to require Iran to honor its treaties and its constitution.

Petition to Save Pastor Saeed Abedini from Iranian Prison

To the United Nations, European Union and Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights:

Violating its treaty obligations and its own constitution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sentenced an American pastor, Saeed Abedini, to prison for eight years for merely exercising his fundamental human right to religious freedom. Take all available diplomatic action to press Iran to respect human rights and release Pastor Saeed.
