Radio Recap – DNC’s Grand Finale Flop

Last night the Democrat National Convention (DNC) concluded with a grand finale flop.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed the conclusion of the DNC, including former Vice President Biden’s acceptance speech.

The DNC’s first of its kind virtual convention is over. Our overall take was it was just a total flop – a disaster. It’s very tough to imagine that anybody who doesn’t pay close to current events even tuned in. If they did, they probably tuned in because they wanted to see President Obama talk again, so he kind of overshadowed it along with former First Lady Michelle Obama.

No one’s talking about Senator Kamala Harris and the only thing people are saying about former Vice President Joe Biden’s speech is that he showed that he can read a teleprompter without making a huge gaffe.

The attacks that he did make on President Trump were kind of ridiculous, especially one on the economy which was just absurd. Any objective observer realizes that the economy under the Trump Administration, even right now, is better than the economy under the Obama Administration.

And then Biden attacked the President on foreign policy, ignoring the fact that under the Obama Administration, North Korea kept their nuclear program on track, Iran got a deal where they could keep their nuclear program moving, and even Afghanistan and Iraq were ramping up. Under the Trump Administration, ISIS has been dealt with. The leader of ISIS, al-Baghdadi, has been dealt with.

President Trump, last week, made the historic deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. None of that kind of stuff happened during the Obama Administration. The Obama Administration abandoned Israel at the U.N. Security Council.

President Trump has made sure that Iran has been so technologically sabotaged, from our country and others, that no one’s even talking about Iran’s nuclear capabilities any more. The Trump Administration also killed the Iran nuclear deal, cutting off the billions of dollars that we were shipping to an enemy.

So what’s Vice President Biden’s big idea? His big foreign policy change to reach out the world is to make a deal with the Ayatollah again? Ask the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and all those countries if they want another American deal with Iran on anything to do with nuclear weapons? Absolutely not.

Don’t forget Fast and Furious happened under the Obama Administration, as did Benghazi. Don’t ever forget about that.
