You Won't Believe What President Biden Called YOU!

Who will the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new “Disinformation Governance Board” target? Well, President Biden gave us a clue in a speech yesterday.

Here is what President Biden had to say about a significant portion of the country: 

What happens if you have – a state changes the law saying that – children who are LGBTQ can’t be in classrooms with other children? Is that legit under the way the [leaked draft Dobbs] decision is written? What are the next things that are going to be attacked, because this MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that’s existed in American history – in recent American history.

First of all, in the leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade, Justice Alito went out of his way to explain that this decision will not affect these other rights that the President is mentioning:

What sharply distinguishes the abortion right from the rights recognized in the cases on which Roe and Casey rely is something that both those decisions acknowledge: Abortion destroys what those decisions call “potential life” and what the law at issue in this case regards as the life of an “unborn human being.” None of the other decisions cited by Roe and Casey involved the critical moral question posed by abortion. They are therefore inapposite. They do not support the right to obtain an abortion, and by the same token, our conclusion that the Constitution does not confer such a right does not undermine them in any way.

The President is instilling fear into the American people when that isn’t even what this specific draft opinion states. It’s the President that is sharing disinformation and misinformation about this draft opinion. Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard openly criticized this statement by President Biden:

When you look at the President of the United States of America calling millions of Americans essentially terrorists, people who politically opposed him or voted against him, he’s calling them terrorists in an attempt to intimidate them into silence. And we know this because we’ve heard this before from both him and his Attorney General, you remember when his Attorney General said, you know, anyone who holds extremist or anti-authority views will be targeted for investigation and potential prosecution by their domestic terrorist unit. So, he’s essentially saying that this quote-unquote “MAGA crowd” are worse than terrorists. This is outrageous.

So, when Joe Biden uses rhetoric like this, he is attempting to weaponize government agencies to target a group of people. Who are these people that DHS’s Disinformation Governance Board will be looking at for “disinformation”? The MAGA crowd that the President just called “extreme.”

According to President Biden’s statements, if you voted for Donald Trump in the 2020 election, you are extreme. ACLJ Senior Counsel and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave his take on this entire situation starting with the Supreme Court draft opinion leak:

It has broken my heart. . . . The Trump Administration suffered from massive leaks inside of the organizations we were running almost always with a political agenda. This certainly looks like what happened here as well. And to see this institution, a very small, close, tight-knit group, that has never had this before release something that was clearly attempting to impact decision making at the Court, or to at least get public opinion inflamed, it is absolutely disheartening. It is tragic. This person is not a hero. This person is someone who violated the rules of the Court and probably the law as well and ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible.

Sec. Pompeo also expressed his opinion on President Biden’s rhetoric:

It is stunning to hear the President go to the podium yesterday clearly orchestrating a campaign . . . saying this is an ultra MAGA movement, an extremist group. I guess I am an extremist now. I will say this, those of us who believe in the sanctity of human life and that life begins at conception have a real responsibly to engage just the way that the ACLJ has engaged for so many years . . . and make the case for why this is so important and . . . make sure that these Justices understand that they should do the right thing and render their judgements in a way that is consistent with what they believe and not let the political pressure impact them one iota.

To demonize your political opponents this way and weaponize government agencies is unacceptable. We are fighting back on multiple fronts. We filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to get to the bottom of the Disinformation Governance Board, and we have a team of lawyers looking at how to fight back to stop the codifying of Roe. We have also filed three critical amicus briefs at the Supreme Court in the case that is currently being decided at the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and save countless unborn babies.
