President Biden Finally Said What We’ve Been Warning You About, Vowing To Restore Roe and Make Abortion On Demand the “Law of the Land Again”

President Joe Biden finally said what we’ve told you was his plan since the day the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade – he’s going to bulldoze right over the Court to make rampant abortion on demand the law of the land.

In his State of the Union address, President Biden actually stood at the podium and stared right at the Supreme Court Justices seated right in the front row, and he had the gall to chastise them for their Dobbs ruling. It was uncomfortable. It was embarrassing. Above all, it was simply unpresidential. But after three years, what else do we expect from this President?

And as if that weren’t alarming enough, the current President then told the American people that he would restore Roe and make abortion permanent, regardless of what the Supreme Court ruled. As Biden put it:

If Americans send me a Congress that supports the right to choose, I promise you: I will restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land again.

At the ACLJ, we often say elections have consequences. Need any more proof? Biden just laid his cards right out on the table for the world to see. He is more committed to serving the abortion lobby than ever before. And why not, given how much abortionists like Planned Parenthood poured into his first presidential campaign, as well as the campaigns of numerous other Left-leaning, pro-abortion, anti-life politicians? And the abortion giant has already committed its support to Biden’s bid for reelection. It seems Biden has a debt to repay, and he’s willing to dismantle the separation of powers established in our Constitution to do so.

How ironic that one of Biden’s repeated nonsensical talking points was how democracy and the right to vote are under attack. It was the Left that tried to take away the rights of the American people to vote for the candidate of their choice – a case we were directly involved in, and the Supreme Court just shut down. And now the whole country watched the State of the Union where the Executive branch thumbed its nose at the Judicial branch in an apparent gambit to wrestle away and consolidate power.

In fact, putting the abortion issue aside for just a moment, this is an attack on the Constitution. The sitting President of the United States just told the Supreme Court he’s going to overrule them, and he told every state in the Union that he wants to strip them of the power to self-govern. If there’s ever been a more clear-cut, and frankly terrifying, attack on democracy in America, I don’t know what it is. Biden stood before Congress last night, pontificating much less like a President and much more like a dictator.

This is precisely why even though we at the ACLJ celebrated the historic Dobbs decision that overturned Roe as a monumental victory in our fight to defend babies, we knew there would be no resting on our laurels. The radical Left is so intertwined with the abortion machine that it will not just accept defeat and go away. Biden might be the most anti-life President in our nation’s history, and his Administration is fighting pro-life laws in states across the country. We just recently filed an amicus brief at the U.S. Supreme Court in a critical pro-life case out of Idaho after the Biden Administration filed a lawsuit to block a comprehensive abortion ban passed by the state’s legislature shortly after Dobbs. And we just filed three more amicus briefs at the Supreme Court in a case where the Biden Administration is trying to expand abortion pills, which kill more unborn babies than any other type of abortion.

We told you Biden would take the abortion battle to the states, and he has proven us right time and time again. But now he’s once again trying to make abortion a federal issue. And so we’ll keep fighting to stop him from spreading the abortion disease any further. The Biden Administration is determined to steal the most sacred right of all – the right to life – away from hundreds of thousands of innocent unborn children. We cannot allow that.
