President Joe Biden flip-flopped on Israel again, but at least this time he’s rightly slamming the International Criminal Court (ICC) for seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant. Biden backed Israel’s actions to defend itself after the October 7 attacks. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also threatened to enact sanctions on the ICC for its outrageous arrest warrants.

Fox News reports:

President Biden is condemning the International Criminal Court’s (ICC’s) decision to pursue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant as “outrageous.” . . .

“The ICC prosecutor’s application for arrest warrants against Israeli leaders is outrageous,” Biden said in a statement issued Monday afternoon.

“And let me be clear: whatever this prosecutor might imply, there is no equivalence – none – between Israel and Hamas,” Biden added. “We will always stand with Israel against threats to its security,” the president continued.

Biden claims to stand with Israel, yet his actions tell a different, more treacherous tale. As we recently reported, President Joe Biden admitted he was halting a supply of weapons and ammunition to Israel, as it attempts to defend its people and its interests against deadly violence. According to new reports, the Biden Administration has dangled crucial intel on Hamas leadership over Israel’s head, stating they can have it if they promise not to invade Rafah.

How should the American people interpret Biden’s contradictory actions? Either Biden believes what he’s saying but doesn’t have the strength to secure his team’s support, or he is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon in our Jerusalem office spelled out what we’ve all been seeing:

We know exactly how we got here. The Biden Administration, from the top down, has been trafficking in lies and libels about how Israel is defending itself. They’ve been using Hamas’ numbers and terrorist talking points. . . . He knows, everybody knows that out in the streets of America and the campuses, people are yelling that Israel is genocidal. He has not said a word about it. [In fact, Biden donors funded the campus protests] . . . He has been maligning Israel from the beginning. . . . It’s too little too late. They make Israel into a villain, and when it goes too far, they say, look at us – we are Israel’s friend. And ultimately, it is leading to a lot of death.

Israel is just trying to survive the notion of a “Palestinian” state that threatens its existence. But the “Palestinians” were never a people. In fact, on our website, we have a video that explains the myth of “Palestine.” This is a new narrative, and it’s causing this division. It’s become a zero-sum game.

Despite the Biden Administration’s flip-flop, the ACLJ unapologetically stands with Israel. We are demanding that the U.S. place sanctions on the ICC, and we launched a multipronged effort through our office in Jerusalem, Washington, D.C., and at the U.N. to defend Israel, sanction Iran, and stop the lawfare against our ally. You can join us and nearly 600,000 ACLJ followers by signing our petition here.

The ACLJ is also actively defending religious liberty and just had another great win. Our client was told that she couldn’t have a Bible study during her break time anywhere on the hospital campus where she worked. We wrote a demand letter and received a rapid response. Now she can discuss the Bible and her faith with any employee or with anyone who wants to talk if she is not in a patient care area.

This is a win for all of us because it sets a precedent for you to practice your faith when you’re at work. Demand letters are a powerful tool for justice. We can contact the employer directly and most times resolve religious liberty violations without anyone spending a fortune in court.

If you’ve had something like this happen to you, go to ACLJ.org/help and complete the form.

We are grateful to do all this work for free for our clients because of our generous donors and Champions who make a monthly commitment to support our work.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast includes a full analysis of Biden’s latest flip-flop in condemning the ICC’s decision, an ACLJ victory for religious liberty, ACLJ Senior Counsel and Director of Policy Harry Hutchison discusses the world’s response to Iranian President Raisi’s death – and much more.
