Weaponizing the Federal Government To Violate the Freedom of Religion Clause of the Constitution
Notwithstanding the fact that the First Amendment protects our freedom of speech and religious expression, the House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government has discovered clear and unambiguous evidence indicating that the federal government – since January 6, 2021 – has become the sworn enemy of the people and the Constitution.
Not content with partnering with financial institutions to flag transactions with terms like “MAGA” and “Trump” – which we’ve filed an urgent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to expose – and not content with going after traditional Catholics who support the Latin Mass, it is clear that federal law enforcement officials have sought to monitor the purchases of books and religious texts.
From the perspective of the Department of the Treasury’s Strategic Operations Division of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), law enforcement officials appear to believe that the exercise of citizens’ constitutionally protected rights amounts to little more than the manifestation of “extremism.” This viewpoint operates consistently with Christian commentator Dr. Jim Denison’s deduction that in the new postmodern age, Christians will be labeled intolerant, oppressive, and dangerous as part of the rise of “post-truth” culture. Evidently, “post-truth” culture infects and grows like a malignant tumor inside federal law enforcement offices.
Last August, the ACLJ discovered that the FBI lied about its multistate task force targeting Christians. Now in equally grim and equally horrific news, the House of Representatives has learned just days after President Biden released the first ad of his 2024 reelection campaign in which he labeled millions of Donald Trump supporters as “extremists,” that federal law enforcement officials have targeted Christians and others who have exercised their constitutionally protected freedom of speech, freedom of association, and freedom of religion.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
This constitutional provision protects the rights of Christians and non-Christians to engage in the free exercise of their religion, engage in freedom of political and non-political speech, and petition the government for redress of their grievances. Evidently, Deep State bureaucrats located in the bowels of Washington have an alternative view. In their view, the exercise of freedom of speech and freedom of religion is little more than a cover for misinformation, extremism, and “hate” speech. It is clear beyond question that the federal government, acting as the protector of democracy, is actually interfering with our democracy.
In other words, the federal government is now exhibiting all the hallmarks of The Authoritarian Personality, a book that was published in 1950. Focused on the rise of antisemitism as a social disease of utmost hatred, the book’s major achievement was its exposition of the rise of fascism not merely as a political phenomenon but also as the manifestation of the dispositions that lie at the core of the modern psyche. The book showed that the potential for tyranny lies not at the periphery but at the very heart of the modern and postmodern experience. Though written nearly three-quarters of a century ago, the book illustrated that psychological patterns of domination and control harden into a closed-hard fist, suggesting that globalist elites deserve to rule under the rhetoric of neutrality, openness, tolerance, and inclusion claims, even though tolerance amounts to little more than a fig leaf inviting repressive tolerance as federal law enforcement officials label their opponents as extremists.
Now more than ever, the American people must rise up and legally resist the Deep State’s efforts to cripple American citizens’ constitutional rights and weaponize our constitutional republic against the Constitution.
