IT BEGINS: IRS Unveils Its Spying Plan

We warned you that President Joe Biden wanted to spend some $80 BILLION to increase the size of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to get twice as many IRS agents – including ARMED agents – out on the streets to target YOU. Others called us paranoid. Well, now we have the details of the Biden IRS expansion, called the Inflation Reduction Act Strategic Operating Plan, and guess what it includes – 30,000 new employees, including almost 9,000 new auditors.

As reported on Politico:

The IRS released a much-anticipated report on Thursday outlining how it will spend new funding on ambitious hiring plans and increased enforcement aimed at wealthy taxpayers and big corporations — but left a long list of questions unanswered, which is bound to aggravate lawmakers.

The report describes the agency’s objectives for the $80 billion cash infusion that was provided by Democrats’ Inflation Reduction Act, including plans to create “world-class” customer service for taxpayers seeking assistance; develop data management systems so IRS employees can have a 360-degree view of a taxpayers’ information; and hire specialized lawyers and accountants who can help audit the most complex corporate and partnership returns.

Of course, in the interest of creative reporting, the IRS simply says it’s hiring more “enforcement staff.” Let’s be clear – that means auditors. We’re experiencing record inflation, the economy is unstable, and the IRS is currently keeping countless employees at home due to outdated COVID protocols while offices that American taxpayers are already paying for sit empty. But Biden wants MORE auditors on the street harassing Americans.

And that’s not all. Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo stated they’ll be hiring more “data scientists” as well. That should scare all of us. They’re hiring more staff to find – or create – new ways to claw as much tax revenue out of hardworking Americans’ pockets as it possibly can while Joe Biden is at the wheel.

As ACLJ Senior Counsel Andy Ekonomou summarized it:

[This includes] 8,700 more people who are going to be scrutinizing you, and looking at you, checking your tax returns, making sure that you’re coughing up what they want for the federal government, for this Left-wing, woke Administration to put its policies into effect. And the only way they get the money is by looking at taxpayers and scrutinizing taxpayers.

The word that bothers me is this: data scientists. . . . They’re going to hire more data scientists than they ever have for enforcement purposes, which is what the Deputy Treasury Secretary told reporters at a press conference.

These are people . . . who sit in the backrooms and who look at tax returns and figure out, How are we going to attack this person and try to get more money out of him or her or this small business? And they put it into their little formula, and they figure it out, and they attack you.

Now you may be looking at this thinking, But they’re not even using the full $80 billion. This is a long-term, tiered plan, and you can bet that we’re only being shown the tip of the iceberg. After they finish going after people who make over $400,000 a year – remember the IRS promised there would be no new audits against American families making less than $400,000 – odds are that’s when they will unleash the other half of the $80 billion to come after the rest of us.

It’s not lost on anyone here at the ACLJ that the opening pages of the IRS report state the agency’s mission statement is to:

Provide America’s taxpayers top-quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and enforce the law with integrity and fairness to all.

We’ve seen firsthand how the Deep State IRS treats conservatives when unleashed by a Left-leaning Administration. Fair is not a word we would use. In fact, the ACLJ took the Obama-Biden IRS to federal court for targeting conservative organizations, and we won, even forcing the Director of the IRS to apologize for its reprehensible actions. Now that Joe Biden is back in the White House, the Deep State IRS has been reenergized. We will not let them target you.
