Biden IRS Reminder: Declare Your Stolen Goods in 2022

The IRS has released the 2022 tax guide and there is an interesting new portion, a section called stolen property.

In relation to stolen goods, the IRS tax guide states:

If you steal property, you must report its fair market value in your income in the year you steal it unless you return it to its rightful owner in the same year.

So, the IRS is not saying don’t steal, they are saying if you steal, we want our cut. This is the same corrupt agency that we caught targeting conservatives, and now they are giving guidance on how to report your income from illegal activity. When does the corruption end?

Even though many of our rights are at risk under this new Administration, we still have our freedom to be grateful for. ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo discussed his new article where he points out how other people around the world are not as fortunate:

We know that even in . . . places inside the United States – we watched this year where bars were open, but churches were closed. We suffer that risk at home as well. But in places like China in the west, or in parts of the Middle East, there are people who simply can’t practice their faith. They can’t raise their families the way they want to. If they talked about Jesus Christ as their Savior in the way that we are free to do here in the United States, they would run real risks. We should all keep in mind and pray for these people and wish that the United States will do all that it can and continue to lead and guarantee . . .  religious freedom and opportunities for those people all across the world as well.

Sec. Pompeo added how important it is to have the ACLJ during times like this:

It is even more important at times when the Administration is not supporting the things we care about – protection of human life, religious freedom, the relationship between the United States and Israel. All of the things that the ACLJ has stood for all of these years. . . . It may not be the story of the day, or some trial that is going on, it may not be some big scandal that took place, but this is at the center for civilization. This is at the center of humanity. And I think ACLJ supporters understand that. And in these times when the Administration may not be as prepared to defend the things that we all care so much about it is even more important that an organization like the ACLJ is out there fighting, raising its voice and litigating, doing whatever it can to defend these freedoms across the world. In the face of an Administration that is, if not hostile, is at least passive with respect to protecting these rights.

We continue to fight all around the world on the issues that matter most. ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell tweeted about the latest foreign policy issue:

A career foreign service officer at the State Department tells me that the U.S. policy on Russia and Ukraine is to not have any distance from the Europeans. Whatever the Europeans want is the Biden policy. This is scary. They control him – and Putin knows it.

Ric explained why this is a concern:

Well, it is a concern because it is now official U.S. policy. And what that means is that the State Department has instructed through cable a mandate that all embassies in Europe that have U.S. policy communicate to the countries where they are in that our U.S. policy is to do whatever the Europeans want so that we all stay united. The reality is there is power in unity, so that we have one voice. . . . But that shouldn’t be the goal. The United States and Europe have fundamentally different threat assessments. . . . So therefore, when Joe Biden says stay close the Europeans do whatever the Europeans want as our U.S. policy when it comes to Ukraine, that is a disaster for the American people.

The policies under the Biden Administration are an example of why our work at the ACLJ is needed now more than ever. Everything we have fought to protect is at risk. That’s why we are equipped to fight not only here at home, but around the world as well. We will continue to monitor these developments and provide you with updates.
