As a show that breaks down current events as they happen, on a daily basis, we are constantly looking for new ways to enhance the Sekulow broadcast to give you all the information available. Part of that effort involves bringing in new, expert voices to weigh in with skillful, informed analysis.

It’s an honor to announce that former U.S. Representative and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard has joined the Sekulow team as our Senior Military and Political Analyst. Tulsi will be joining us on the broadcast weekly to share her perspective on the political news taking place across the country and around the world.

Anyone who’s followed Tulsi’s career knows she’s not afraid to speak up on major issues affecting the American people and to shine a light on government corruption and incompetence. In fact, as we told you, she made the bold decision to publicly leave the Democrat party, stating it had lost its way.

Tulsi joined me on Sekulow and explained how lawmakers of all political walks of life are taking advantage of bad situations to strip away more of our constitutional freedoms:

This is what’s so dangerous, and what we’ve seen, unfortunately, throughout history is how people who are in positions of power – and we’ve seen this come from both Democrats and Republicans – they will seize on these moments where we’re concerned about our national security, where we’re concerned about our safety and the safety of the American people, to create these pieces of legislation and policies that are such gross overreaches, and clearly violate our constitutional rights and civil liberties. And yet they get away with it, unfortunately thus far, because they’re saying, Hey, don’t worry, this is for your own good. This is for the well-being and national security interest of our country, and that need supersedes everything.

They are completely getting wrong their responsibility, which is to strike that balance of recognizing how important our Constitution and civil liberties and freedoms are. It’s what makes us who we are as Americans and this country, with the balanced need of respecting that and ensuring our safety and security. It’s not an either-or proposition, but that’s, unfortunately, how they’ve put it forward in order to get away with this stuff.

Tulsi explained she’s only interested in what the Constitution says, not the prevailing social and political winds:

This is why the work that the ACLJ does is so important because you guys have a strong track record of really being constitutionalists and not looking at it through the partisan lens or whatever narrative may be ruling the day, which is what we the American people need. It’s essential.

Tulsi actually told me she was called a traitor to America for questioning bad policies in Congress. That is a ludicrous charge, and I would remind those critics that as a decorated lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, who currently still serves as an active reservist, Tulsi is also the first female combat veteran to run for President of the United States. She was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Combat Medical Badge, and she still continues to put herself in harm’s way to defend our nation and our freedoms. Even as recently as 2021, well after running for President, Tulsi revealed on Instagram that she had been deployed to Africa to assist in a mission to fight “al-Qaeda affiliated jihadists.”

It was only when she refused to blindly follow party lines that her own party seemingly torpedoed her campaign. Even after the fact, she still advocates for transparent, bipartisan leadership from the federal government, recognizing we are a constitutional republic where diverse voices are worthy of being heard for the good of every American, regardless of their political party.

As Tulsi stated, it’s one of the factors that drew her to join the Sekulow team:

This is why I really appreciate [Sekulow] and the platform that you’re using to inform people about how critical it is that we see the world as it is and that we make reasonable, sensible decisions that really serve the best interests of the American people and our country, preserving our constitutional rights and freedoms.

We are thrilled to have Tulsi Gabbard joining the Sekulow broadcast team. She brings insider knowledge and real-world perspective to political discourse. And with her military combat experience, Tulsi also brings a unique insight that most of our current leaders lack when they decide whether to send our troops to war or force the U.S. into any other country’s battles.

Tulsi’s contributions to Sekulow will further enable us to provide you with all the information you need to understand what’s happening in Washington, around the world, and in your own backyard. We’re excited to welcome Tulsi Gabbard to the Sekulow team.
