There's an important showdown coming the Senate - an up-or-down vote on funding Planned Parenthood - Congress is spending more than $350-million a year in federal taxpayer money to fund the nation's largest abortion provider.

As you know, we've been working to oppose the continued government funding of Planned Parenthood.  And, finally, after much pressure from the pro-life community, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who vowed such a move would never occur, has agreed to permit an up-or-down-vote on whether to continue to fund Planned Parenthood.

That's exactly what we want.  We want our Senators to be accountable - especially those who claim to be pro-life.  Senators like Bob Casey - a Democrat from Pennsylvania - who has repeatedly told reporters that he believe life begins at conception and asserts that he is pro-life - "always has been, always will" - to use his own words.

There's a problem, though.  Sen. Casey's office has said he intends to vote to keep providing Planned Parenthood with what amounts to one million dollars a day in federal taxpayer funds.  By doing so, Planned Parenthood frees up other funding that pays for the abortion of more than 300,000 babies each year.

We're calling on Sen. Casey to tell the truth.  The fact is that it's impossible to wrap yourself in the pro-life mantle - and then vote to fund the nation's largest abortion provider.  It just doesn't work that way.

Stand with us - send a powerful message to Senator Casey and to each member of the Senate - it is time to defund Planned Parenthood.  Add your name today.
