David French

David French, a 1994 graduate of Harvard Law School, is Senior Counsel and Director of Digital Advocacy for the American Center for Law and Justice.

David has been a commercial litigation partner for a large law firm, taught at Cornell Law School, served as a Senior Counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, and is the former president of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. He is the author or co-author of multiple books, including most recently the New York Times bestseller, Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Can’t Ignore. His other books include Home and Away: The Story of Family in a Time of War and A Season for Justice, Defending the Rights of the Christian Home, Church, and School. David is a contributor to National Review, a columnist for Patheos, and has written for numerous additional publications. Regularly interviewed by both print and broadcast media, David has appeared on a number of national television and radio programs.

David is a major in the United States Army Reserve, joining the USAR in April, 2006. He is currently serving in the Individual Ready Reserve.  He has served as a Brigade Judge Advocate for the 1st Brigade, 104th Division, a Squadron Judge Advocate for the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, and a Trial Counsel for the 139th LSO. From October 2007 to September 2008, David deployed with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment to Diyala Province, Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.

David and his wife, Nancy (also a New York Times-bestselling author) have three children. They live in Columbia, Tennessee.
