Judge Wants Answers About Grand Jury in Trump Case

Judge Aileen Cannon, the federal judge presiding over President Trump’s classified documents case, struck down two filings by prosecutors. She also ordered the prosecutors to explain “the legal propriety of using an out-of-district grand jury proceeding to continue to investigate” the documents case.

The federal judge overseeing the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump delivered multiple blows to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s efforts in a brief Monday.

Judge Aileen Cannon of the Southern District of Florida – who is presiding over the case stemming from a Miami grand jury’s June indictment of Trump – denied the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) request for sealed filings, striking two from the record. Cannon also requested additional information from prosecutors regarding the continued use of an out-of-state grand jury to investigate the case.

And Judge Cannon isn’t wrong to demand answers from the prosecutors for why a grand jury from another jurisdiction is investigating former President Donald Trump in a case that already has charges. What the prosecutors are doing here is highly suspect and legally questionable at best.

As Jordan noted, this is a “classic [Special Counsel] Jack Smith move” to file charges but then use a different grand jury in a different location to get a favorable outcome. We’re very familiar with Jack Smith’s antics from 2013 in our victory over the IRS in court. I will have a special broadcast later this week highlighting our interactions with Jack Smith and his history of novel legal approaches.

Let me tell you: A “very novel approach” is great for an exam or law review article. But it’s not so great when you’re indicting a FORMER PRESIDENT who is a leading candidate for President. That’s not the time for “novel approaches.”

The Left’s procedural issues in the ongoing cases against Trump don’t just end there. We saw similar procedural problems in the Hunter Biden plea deal where the judge had to throw out the plea deal because she didn’t have the authority to determine the violation being presented to her – that was supposed to be the prosecutor’s job.

When it comes to the cases against Trump and Hunter Biden, the Left better do it by the book. Do you know why? Because right now, it looks worse than political. It looks like something is amiss. Jordan asked why Trump keeps getting piled on while Hunter gets just a slap on the wrist – and Jordan’s right about the double standard. The media fully seems to believe that Hunter will get a plea deal. Yet more cases and charges continue to crop up for Trump.

As we told you, we are representing FBI agent Marcus Allen, who questioned the radical Left’s narrative through the proper whistleblower channels.

After he told the truth about the FBI’s corruption, Agent Allen had his security clearance revoked, was stripped of his pay and health insurance, and was prohibited from seeking other employment. All this came on the heels of being named employee of the year in his Charlotte field office.

Ohioans will have the opportunity to change the threshold needed to amend the state’s constitution to 60%. This will prohibit Leftists from making radical changes – especially when forcing pro-abortion measures on the people of Ohio.
