Massive Arrests Underway as ICE Is Activated

Border Czar Tom Homan and ICE have begun mass deportations of illegal immigrants – President Donald Trump’s promise to secure the border is already in action. Yesterday, ICE deported 308 illegal aliens, many of whom were sitting in American prisons for murder and rape, to serve out their remaining sentences in their home countries.

We are witnessing the power of a federal agency, which has been unleashed to do what the law already allows it to do – and it’s only the tip of the iceberg. The number of illegal immigrants in America is probably close to 20 million now, though the mainstream media keeps claiming around 10 million.

So if the Trump Administration is going to keep its promise of mass deportations, it’s going to stay focused and move quickly. That’s why it wisely deported the 308 prisoners yesterday. It’s a great place to start. Yet imagine what the deportation numbers will be when the Administration’s personnel is fully in place – right now it’s about 50% in place.

That’s why Trump’s national security team must get confirmed quickly. We need the Secretaries, their deputies, and other staff department heads to assume their roles. Then they can all hit the ground running. It will likely take a couple of months to get everyone in position – and that can’t come soon enough.

In the meantime the far Left has already started filing lawsuits against the Administration for its mass deportations. New Jersey is leading the charge (22 states total) to block President Trump’s Executive order that ends birthright citizenship (i.e., any child that is born in the U.S. is a citizen regardless of parents’ legal status).

We’ve had broad interpretations of the Constitution’s understanding of “birthright” in the 14th Amendment. And more than likely, the courts will start looking at whether or not a birth mother is here illegally or temporarily (e.g., a green card). And then combine that with complicated issues like a father who is here illegally or temporarily. We’ll keep an eye on legal developments as the far Left challenges Trump’s Executive order.

Also, today is the anniversary of the despicable Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that made killing the unborn a constitutional right. We are so thankful that this horrendous Supreme Court decision was overturned in 2022, returning the issue to the states. And as you know, the ACLJ has been fighting the far Left’s relentless efforts to expand abortion in the states.

One major current pro-life bill involves the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, for which the U.S. Senate’s new pro-life leadership has scheduled a vote on Friday. For years, Senator Chuck Schumer (NY) did Planned Parenthood’s bidding and blocked the vote. Friday is also the March for Life, the prominent annual march for the pro-life movement.

Why is this bill so vital? For example, California passed a law that could allow babies to be killed up to 28 days after birth. By using the word “perinatal” (which is the period that includes up to a month after a baby is born) instead of “prenatal” (before birth), the law legalizes infanticide.

Such infanticide bills are ripe with opportunities for the Left to eviscerate pro-life laws and introduce even more ghoulish abortion legislation. Courts will undoubtedly use this bill to overturn nearly every pro-life law and legalize no-questions-asked abortion through birth – for any reason or no reason at all – just as we’ve seen in other states.

We’ve taken action, not only filing at state Supreme Courts nationwide to defend life but also aggressively fighting on Capitol Hill too. And the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act would force doctors to administer lifesaving medical care to any baby who is born, including abortion survivors. We are demanding the Senate pass this bill.

We need your support to help us save the unborn. Sign our petition.

Today’s Sekulow broadcast included a full analysis of the Trump Administration’s mass deportation of illegal immigrants. We also discussed the Senate’s important vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.
