U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer sent a “loud and clear message” to the Department of Justice (DOJ) this weekend: Don’t indict Hunter Biden until you hear the bombshell he’s about to drop.

Just a few days ago, we told you how a whistleblower had come forward from the FBI who told Congress about an alleged criminal scheme involving President Biden and an unnamed foreign national – when Biden was still Vice President. As a result, Comer sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, demanding to know what, if any, investigation had been conducted into the allegations of then-VP Biden taking money from a foreign national to influence policy. That clearly would be criminal conduct, tantamount to treason.

The FBI has until May 10th, this Wednesday, to respond.

Now Rep. Comer has taken it a step further, issuing a statement to the DOJ to hold off on indicting Hunter until they see what the House Oversight Committee is about to reveal.

As reported:

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said any indictment of Hunter Biden stemming from the federal investigation into him would be a “slap on the wrist,” as reports suggest investigators are nearing a decision on whether to charge the president’s son.

Hunter Biden could be facing tax and gun-related charges from a multi-year investigation by federal prosecutors, according to a number of reports, including the Washington Post. But Comer, the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee, said such an indictment of Hunter Biden would be insufficient.

“What they’re looking at charging Hunter Biden on is a slap on the wrist,” Comer said on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” “It’s a drop in the bucket.”

According to Rep. Comer, charges against Hunter Biden alone would be insufficient, as he himself told Fox News:

My message to the Department of Justice is very loud and clear. Do not indict Hunter Biden before Wednesday, when you’ve had the opportunity to see the evidence that the House Oversight Committee will produce with respect to the web of LLCs, with respect to the number of adversarial countries that this family influence peddled in, and this is not just about the President’s son. This is about the entire Biden family, including the President of the United States.

So we believe there are a whole lot of accounts that the IRS and the DOJ don’t know about because we don’t believe they’ve done a whole lot of digging into this. And we have. We spent the past 100 days poring over bank documents. I’ve used subpoena power to get these bank documents. We’ve been meeting with the former associates of the Bidens in their different influence-peddling schemes.

We’ve been meeting with whistleblowers. We know exactly what this family was doing. And by all accounts from the media reports that we’re getting, what they’re looking at charging Hunter Biden on is a slap on the wrist. It’s a drop in the bucket. So Wednesday will be a very big day for the American people in getting the facts presented to them so that they can know the truth.

And then the Department of Justice can finally do what they should have done years ago.

Despite all this, President Biden continues to defend his troubled son. He continues to deny any wrongdoing on his son’s part, calling all this a conservative witch hunt against his family, and he even proclaimed his pride in his son. As a father, it’s understandable. But fatherly pride is not justification for criminal behavior and betraying your own country.

More and more troubling information continues to be revealed against the Bidens. We all need to keep our eyes open and be prepared to act if the Bidens continue to weaponize the DOJ in order to evade justice.
