Biden's FBI Hasn't Stopped Targeting Christians
The House Judiciary Committee released a new report uncovering more of the Deep State FBI’s targeting of “radical traditionalist” Christians. Though FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony before Congress downplayed the investigation, whistleblowers exposed the Biden Administration’s wide-ranging bias against Christians.
Yet this new report proves that the targeting is still ongoing: An FBI agent shared that they are still trying to share the contents of the memo with other field offices. We also learned that the FBI intentionally deleted the evidence removing any notes on the memo from it’s server in an apparent attempt to thwart congressional investigators.
The Washington Examiner reports on the extent to which the FBI probed Christians:
The FBI spoke with two church leaders while it was compiling a controversial internal memo that took aim at certain “traditionalist” Catholics, according to a report published Monday by the House Judiciary Committee.
The report detailed the FBI’s behind-the-scenes efforts, including the two interviews with a priest and a choir director from a church affiliated with the Society of Saint Pius X, that took place ahead of the FBI field office in Richmond, Virginia, internally releasing the memo in January.
The FBI retracted the memo in February after receiving backlash following a whistleblower making the memo public. The bureau has since repeatedly condemned it for not meeting FBI standards.
When will the Biden Administration stop infringing upon the First Amendment rights of Americans? And why are Christians still being lumped together with white nationalists and other extremist groups?
We now know that the FBI investigation stems from a leftist Southern Poverty Law Center’s report of “radical traditionalist” Catholics. Don’t forget that the FBI went so far as to plant undercover agents in churches to keep tabs on what was being taught.
At the same time, the FBI overlooks pro-abortion radicals who bomb Pregnancy Resource Centers and threaten peaceful pro-life advocates. Testimony from one of the FBI whistleblowers shed light on orders to surveil pro-life advocates as well as parents who spoke out against radical indoctrination at school board meetings.
In response to the FBI’s widespread targeting of Christians, we filed a FOIA lawsuit earlier this year that uncovered at least 1,200 pages of “potentially responsive documents” to our FOIA. The FBI may have thought they deleted all the files related to the memorandum, but they overlooked the 1,200 pages we will receive.
And as today’s report shows, despite all the negative exposure from the whistleblowers and the ACLJ’s lawsuit, the Deep State’s FBI hasn’t stopped going after Christians. The ongoing targeting of Christians is shameful and must stop.
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell joined our broadcast to comment on the inherent dangers of the FBI’s infringing on religious liberty:
Decades ago, the Europeans got rid of religion, and they replaced it with this inspiring commitment to government – really, what happened is they got rid of religion, and they replaced it with government. And it’s a hollow society when you are living without your religion. That’s why we have the First Amendment, and we have to be aggressive. I’m so thankful that ACLJ is sensitive to these issues and at the forefront of fighting on these issues because when our government decides to mock religion, cancel religion, use identity politics to go after religion – this is a weaponization that cannot be tolerated.
I’m so glad that Rep. Jim Jordan’s (OH-4) committee is holding the DOJ accountable, but as long as the same radical Left leaders keep getting elected, we can expect the same unlawful targeting of Christians to continue.
We also discussed the outrageous report that an employee of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) detained an Israeli hostage in Gaza. This is unbelievable.
The U.S. should remove all funding from the U.N. if it won’t end its ties to Hamas, a terrorist organization. Why won’t the international community hold them accountable?
Of course, this report only signifies the ongoing U.N. bias against Israel. We see similar hypocrisy in the fact that it took the U.N. Women organization eight weeks to condemn Hamas’ brutal rapes of innocent Israeli women. The hypocrisy is despicable.
