Hagel Unable to Defend Anti-Israel Record

Yesterday, former Senator Chuck Hagel displayed before the Senate Armed Services Committee and the world a myriad of reasons why he should not be the next Secretary of Defense.

As the short snippet of his disastrous confirmation hearing above shows, he was unable to defend or account for his long record of opposition to Israel and continued appeasement of Iran.

We cannot stand silent and allow President Obama’s anti-Israel nominee for Secretary of Defense to slip through confirmation unopposed. Someone who was unwilling to label Hezbollah and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as terrorist organizations and has consistently refused to stand with our ally Israel is not the right person to lead our armed forces.
