Radical Left

A

A

Last night, if you made it through President Joe Biden’s socialist agenda when he addressed Congress, you would have seen Senator Tim Scott (SC) deliver one of the best response speeches in history. But shortly thereafter, he was verbally attacked on Twitter for declaring that America is not a racist country and saying that race is not a political weapon to settle every issue the way one side wants.

Twitter allowed a disgusting racial slur as a trending topic to stay on the platform for hours after Sen. Tim Scott delivered his rebuttal to President Biden’s address to Congress. This is totally unacceptable.

The sad reality is that if you are an African American and you don’t want to tow the party line as a liberal, then the Left is fine with using racist attacks against you.

Senator Tim Scott (SC) shared his experience with racism from the Left:

I’ve also experienced a different kind of intolerance. I get called “Uncle Tom” and the n-word by progressives, by liberals. Just last week, a national newspaper suggested my family’s poverty was actually privilege because a relative owned land generations before my time. Believe me, I know firsthand our healing is not finished.

Can you imagine if it was conservatives who were saying these things? They would have been banned from Twitter immediately.

Vice President Kamala Harris even had to admit she agreed with Sen. Scott:

No, I don’t think America is a racist country, but we also do have to speak to the history of racism in our country and its existence today.

We agree with Sen. Scott too, Madame Vice President. Sen. Scott is an inspiration for many. As he himself has said, he went from cotton to Congress in ONE generation. And yet, he was attacked by the radical Left because he has a positive outlook for the future of this country.

ACLJ Senior Counsel Andy Ekonomou said:

The bright shining star of the Republican Party is someone like Senator Scott. He is articulate. He is sincere. He is Christian in his thoughts. What a terrible thing to express your Christianity and to embrace! What a terrible thing to quote from scripture at the end of his speech and made a statement about the grace of God! What a horrible thing the Progressives condemned him for doing that! This is a person who grew up in South Carolina with just a mother to raise him and with a grandfather who couldn’t read but put the newspaper in front of him as an example for others to read. He went to Chick-fil-A and got his start. He is supposed to wait for the Progressives to hand out stuff because he is African American. He is supposed to get food stamps, section 8 housings, and wait and get benefits from big government. NO, that is not what Tim Scott did and he made the statement we are not a racist country, and we are not. Tim Scott is the shining star in the firmament.

In the President’s address to Congress, President Biden laid out his vision for expanding big government by insinuating we the people are in fact – the government:

Our Constitution opens with the words, as trite as it sounds, “We the people.” It’s time we remembered that “We the people” are the government. You and I. Not some force in a distant capital. Not some powerful force that we have no control over. It’s us. It’s “We the people.”

President Biden is so out of touch with history. Washington D.C. is the problem, not the solution. The reason he is probably confusing the government with the people is because he has been in government for most of his life. It might be true for him, but not for us.

The themes from President Biden’s speech last night were big government and checking off items on the socialist agenda. They are trying to expand the government to be involved in every aspect of your life.

Former President Ronald Reagan said it best:

The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.

Overall, the feedback from the President’s address was not hopeful. It resulted in divisive, racist tweets targeting a good public servant who has worked hard to get where he is today, Sen. Tim Scott. The Left wants anyone from minority groups to be dependent on the Left. They want to divide us and put us in categories. From the tweets that were directed towards Sen. Scott last night, it’s evident if you don’t agree with the Left’s identity politics – then you are subject to racial slurs and verbal attacks without consequence.

America is not perfect and there is still work to be done. But we have made great progress and will continue to learn from the past while focusing on a brighter future.
