The Left is turning on itself, with new members in the spotlight threatening to compile an enemies list within its own party.

Today on the broadcast, we discussed comments by self-proclaimed socialist and freshman Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez that she is keeping a list of moderate Democrats that dare to agree with Republicans. This potential enemies list was reportedly confirmed by her own spokesman:

After more than two dozen moderate Democrats broke from their party's progressive wing and sided with Republicans on a legislative amendment Wednesday, New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly sounded the alarm in a closed-door meeting Thursday and said those Democrats were "putting themselves on a list."

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez even threatened in a closed-door meeting to target fellow Democrats with primary challengers, like she was in her own race, to unseat them. It seems most likely she’d replace them with like-minded Socialist contenders who would support her radical, extreme Leftist views.

“She said that when activists ask her why she had to vote for a gun safety bill that also further empowers [ICE] . . . , they’re going to want a list of names and she’s going to give it to them,” Trent said, referring to [U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement].

This is an attack on her own party members, threatening them with hard opposition if they dare use their own minds and make their own decisions. It’s an attack on bipartisan cooperation. This is not how a democracy works. But what Ocasio-Cortez wants isn’t democracy, it’s socialism.

This morning Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and hit back at Socialists, echoing the words of the President at the State of the Union who said America must never become a Socialist nation.

"Under the guise of Medicare for All and a Green New Deal, Democrats are embracing the same, tired economic theories that have impoverished nations and stifled the liberties of millions over the past century. That system is socialism.

Remarkably, a leading candidate for the Democratic Presidential nomination is an avowed Socialist. But it’s not just him.

Bernie’s been joined by a chorus of candidates and newly elected officials who have papered over the failed policies of Socialism with bumper sticker slogans and slick social media campaigns.

But what they’re actually offering is just more of the same: more taxes, more spending, more government and less freedom.”

We cannot allow extreme Leftists like Ocasio-Cortez and her supporters push their dangerous Socialist agenda on America, threatening their own party members to toe the line or risk consequences. Our Constitutional Republic depends on it.

As Vice President Pence summed it up in this morning’s address:

“It was freedom, not Socialism, that gave us the most prosperous economy in the history of the world. It was freedom, not Socialism, that ended slavery, won two world wars, and stands today as the beacon of hope for all the world.”
