Radio Recap – AOC’s Squad Demands Leftist Agenda or Else

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her “Squad” are demanding a far Left agenda for the United States . . . or else.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live/The Logan Sekulow ReProgram, we talked about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s so-called Squad demanding that their extreme Leftist agenda be implemented, or else there will be some form of consequences. They have made it clear that they want to dictate the agenda of not only the Democrat Party, but the entire U.S. government.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and members of her Squad held a rally yesterday to demand support for their radical Green New Deal. Here’s part of what Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez said:

This isn’t 2015 anymore. This isn’t 2010 anymore, it’s not 2005 anymore. Climate is now a top three issue for voters across the country, and it’s about time that our Congress and our administration starts acting like it. It’s way past time.

It’s interesting, and a bit harrowing, to see Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad members saying, hey, our number one priority is to get this Green New Deal done. We’ve already heard them say previously that they believe they can push Vice President Biden far to the Left. The question is, are they right? In a potential Biden Administration, could AOC and her pals really dictate his agenda to him?

Conservatives have, in large part, been pro-environment and conservation. The messaging that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad are using is deceptive in parts. My co-host, Will Haynes, made the following point:

Conservatives for a long time have been leaders in conservative efforts. If you think about all the organizations, like Ducks Unlimited, that spend millions and millions of dollars for preservation of wetlands in America, these are conservative organizations.

So they use the climate moniker and the Green New Deal issues to try to make it seem like it’s just about climate change and I think to a mainstream audience, that may play well. If you lean to the Left and you care about those issues, maybe even some conservatives that are thinking it can’t be all bad.

However, that’s not what they are looking to do with this Green New Deal. Here’s a red flag for a lot of you. According to Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez: “Climate action is tied to reproductive justice.”

As usual, these extreme Leftists always toss the abortion argument into the middle of issues that are otherwise completely unrelated. That is really dangerous. It almost sounds like population control.

If your version of environmentalism is population control, then at least be honest about it. It is absurd to think that somehow environmentalism is tied to a pro-abortion movement. That argument is very troubling.

The work of ACLJ is important, now more than ever. We have continued to fight for the Constitution of the United States throughout all the uncertainty of 2020. In the middle of the COVID-19 crisis, we have continued to fight for parents’ and students’ rights, the unborn, religious liberty, and exposing the Deep State.
