It’s official. President Joe Biden has announced that he WILL be running for re-election in 2024. His reason, he claims, is to “finish the job” that he started.

We’re left scratching our heads, wondering what job he thinks he started, because so far all he’s accomplished is making America weak and vulnerable.

The President released an official campaign ad today, taking direct shots at Trump supporters and announcing his second bid for the White House.

As reported by the New York Times:

President Biden formally announced on Tuesday that he would seek a second term, arguing that American democracy still faces a profound threat from former President Donald J. Trump as he set up the possibility of a climactic rematch between the two next year.

In a video that opens with images of a mob of Trump supporters storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the president said that the “fight for our democracy” has “been the work of my first term” but is incomplete while his predecessor mounts a comeback campaign for his old office that Mr. Biden suggested would endanger fundamental rights.

Biden begins his new video talking about freedom, and how the freedom of all Americans is the focus of his Administration. It is? Because it seems like all he’s focused on is taking away freedoms – stripping Americans of their constitutionally protected rights. At least if you’re a conservative or Christian or anyone who dares disagree with the radical Left’s socialist agenda.

What he has accomplished is record inflation, insane gas prices, a botched withdrawal from Afghanistan costing the lives of thirteen U.S. soldiers who should still be alive, an open border allowing drug dealers, human traffickers, and terrorists to enter the country, a baby food shortage, a massive betrayal of persecuted Christians, and increased tensions with global adversaries.

Are these the jobs he wants to finish? Because if so, no thank you. Although in fairness, if the “job” was merely eating ice cream, I’d say President Biden has earned a gold star.

Meanwhile, in his video Biden claims that “MAGA extremists” are the real threat to freedom in America. It’s also interesting that he didn’t make the announcement live. There was no press conference or public appearance. It was a heavily produced YouTube video. Why choose this route? Could it be that his own team doesn’t trust the President to riff anymore?

At this point the only other Democrat to challenge a Biden run for the White House in 2024 is Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a lawyer and activist, and the son of U.S. Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and nephew of President John F. Kennedy.

As for the other side, the only confirmed Republican opponents are former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and of course Donald Trump. Sen. Tim Scott has said he’s launched an exploratory committee. And it’s highly expected that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former V.P. Mike Pence will be formally announcing White House bids, but regardless of all these candidates, we now have the very real possibility of a 2024 rematch between Trump and Biden in the battle for the Oval Office.

Of course Joe Biden says he’s fighting for America’s soul. Really? With all due respect Mr. President, yours may prove to be the most pro-abortion Administration in the history of our nation. If you’re fighting for our souls, we’ve already lost. Now we wait to see if anyone else in Biden’s party will rise to challenge him.
