Yesterday evening we received the word, my new book, Rise of ISIS: A Threat We Can’t Ignore will debut at number 3 on the New York Times October 3 e-book nonfiction list and number 8 on the combined e-book and print nonfiction list

The book’s placement on the combined list is amazing. Since the paperback doesn’t come out until October—and since pre-orders don’t count in the list—that placement is based on e-book sales alone.

This is a tremendous development in our fight to explain to America—and America’s leaders—the true nature of the jihadist threat and outline a response that can work.

Even as our administration persists in its airpower-only approach, there are already signs that it is faltering, with ISIS maintaining its iron grip in northern and western Iraq. The administration has committed America to a years-long fight, but years of half-measures won’t defeat our enemy.

We need to keep the momentum going. We need to inform our friends and family. Pre-order the paperback and order copies for those close to you. With your help we can perhaps push the book to number 1 on the list, helping us communicate real solutions to a nation tired of the Obama administration’s weakness.
