Last night marked the final night of the Republican National Convention (RNC) and President Trump formally accepted the GOP nomination.
On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed the last night of the RNC. President Trump formally accepted the nomination and told America that nothing was impossible.
President Trump began his acceptance speech by saying:
My fellow Americans, tonight, with a heart full of gratitude and boundless optimism, I profoundly accept this nomination for President of the United States.
The President concluded his speech with the following words:
We will make America safer. We will make America stronger. We will make America prouder. And we will make America greater than ever before. I am very, very proud to be the nominee of the Republican Party. I love you all. God bless you, and God bless America.
We’ve come to the conclusion of two consecutive weeks of major party conventions which were both done in a very unique way and were both very different in how they were presented to the American people. We didn’t have the usual arenas and the city takeovers that we’ve seen in the past.
Last night, of course, was the most important night for Republicans and President Trump. It was the culmination of whole week, similar to how the last night of the DNC was the most important night for the Democrats and Vice President Biden. The whole week built to President Trump’s remarks and they didn’t disappoint.
To me, you could literally see, visually, the stark difference between what was presented by the Democrats and what was presented by Republicans. It was a completely different viewing experience compared to last week. Particularly how the RNC concluded the week with President Trump’s powerful speech and then finishing things off with a celebration of America complete with music and one of the most astonishing fireworks displays I think many of us have ever seen.
The full broadcast is complete with much more analysis and discussion by our team of the last night of the RNC, just like we did last week with the DNC. Unfortunately, we also had to discuss the disgusting harassment of Senator Rand Paul and his wife by rioters after the event concluded at the White House.
