In breaking news over the weekend: Is Mayor Bloomberg really considering Hillary Clinton as his running mate for Vice-President?

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live,we discussed the rumors that swirled all over the weekend about Mayor Bloomberg potentially picking Hillary Clinton to be his running mate, as well as his insulting comments about farmers.

As I said on the show, something I really respect about President Trump is his admiration for the working man. He doesn’t belittle the coal miner. He doesn’t belittle the farmer or the factory worker. In fact, he has great respect for blue collar workers and the job they do to keep America working. Whether it’s building, whether it’s running energy plants, manufacturing, President Trump has great respect for the American working man and woman.

Contrast that with Mayor Bloomberg, who shows disdain for the working man.

Here’s what he said about farming at Oxford University:

Think about it, the agrarian society lasted 3,000 years, and we could teach processes, I could teach anybody, even people in this room, so no offense intended, to be a farmer. . . . [I]t’s a process. You dig a hole, put the seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn.

There’s more audio that continues to emerge about how Mayor Bloomberg is out of touch.

People try to portray President Trump as out of touch with the American worker because he comes from the New York business world, but they forget that he was in the building world.  He was on job sites, construction sites. He has relied on and valued construction workers. He relied on labor union workers to build the buildings and put the worksites together.

The President has this great respect for those workers and I think that’s why when he travels the Rust Belt he gets this unbelievable response and support. Again, you contrast that with someone like Mayor Bloomberg who has said things that appear to denigrate the working man.

Also, over the weekend there’s been a persistent rumor that hasn’t been put to bed yet. The rumor is that Mayor Bloomberg is considering tapping Hillary Clinton to be his running mate if he gets the Democrat nomination for President. The rumor started on the Drudge Report. Maybe it was started by some Clinton supporters or maybe it was started by someone on the Bloomberg campaign in an attempt to boost polling.

His campaign is publically being very careful, saying things like we’re not focusing on it right now, etc. While we very much doubt that this is a real possibility, the rumor persists.

We also discussed Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s extreme pro-abortion comments on The View.

You can hear that, more analysis, and the entire episode here.
