Last night we saw the Democrat debate with Mayor Mike Bloomberg on the stage and it was a Democrat disaster.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed last night’s Democrat Presidential debate in Nevada.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg said during the debate:

We've got to wake up as a party. We could wake up two weeks from today, the day after Super Tuesday, and the only candidates left standing will be Bernie Sanders and Mike Bloomberg, the two most polarizing figures on this stage.

Senator Bernie Sanders responded when asked if he was polarizing:

If speaking to the needs and the pain of a long-neglected working class is polarizing, I think you got the wrong word . . . maybe it's a time for the working class of this country to have a little bit of power in Washington, rather than your billionaire campaign contributors.

As I said, this was the Democrat debate to watch. I told you yesterday that if you could stomach it, then you should tune in. We watched it, as well as the commentary afterwards, to see the mainstream media meltdown because they thought that Mayor Bloomberg could be their savior to keep Senator Sanders from being the nominee.

They believe that a Senator Sanders nomination is a certain victory for President Trump. Mayor Bloomberg’s performance last night showed that he was anything but their savior.

Looking at that debate stage last night, I saw what looked like a certain victory in November for President Trump. I’m not the only one who is saying that, by the way.

Bret Baier on Fox News made the following point after the debate:

The biggest winner tonight? Donald Trump. This moment of seeing the Democrats go at each other, was a moment where Mike Bloomberg, for all of the ads and all of the money, it was sort of like the Wizard of Oz, when they finally go and pull back the curtain and they realize it’s this guy, he’s not the guy in the ads. And it felt a little bit like that in some of the dustups.

I think his immediate analysis was spot on. Not only, with who he said won the debate – President Trump – but with what happened to Mayor Bloomberg, especially after spending more than 300 million dollars to get into the debate. He really did end up looking like the uncovered Wizard of Oz, as Bret Baier said.
