It’s Super Tuesday and the polls are starting to tighten in favor of Vice-President Joe Biden. Will he pull off a miracle tonight or will Senator Bernie Sanders cruise to victory on this big Super Tuesday?

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed Super Tuesday and the Democrat race for the nomination.

On CNN, Anderson Cooper asked Senator Sanders the following question:

President Trump questioned last night the timing of Buttigieg's withdrawal, tweeting in part, "this is the real beginning of the Dems taking Bernie out of play, no nomination again." He also tweeted this afternoon, quote, "they are staging a coup against you." Is he right?

Senator Sanders responded in part: “President Trump, stay out of the Democratic Primary.”

It’s safe to say that it’s a big day in politics regardless of what side of the aisle you’re on. If you’re in a Super Tuesday state, I encourage you to go vote.

What’s surprising is how close the polls are showing Vice-President Biden and Senator Sanders really are in some key states. One of those is Texas, which initially showed Senator Sanders with a lead outside the margin of error. Now he only has a two point lead.

Vice-President Biden has some momentum. Last night he received the endorsements of Senator Klobuchar and Mayor Buttigieg after both withdrew their own candidacy for President. It was well known that Senator Sanders was going to gain a lot of delegates tonight, but the big news is that it now looks like Vice-President Biden will too.

As far as Mayor Bloomberg goes, it doesn’t look like he will win a single state, which is interesting considering he spent half a billion dollars. He may get delegates, but he won’t win a single state.

If Vice-President Biden can score a win in Texas, it will likely blunt Senator Sanders’ likely big win in California.

ACLJ Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett made the following point:

I think it would be some kind of indication that momentum has shifted to Vice-President Biden. We’ll see if it happens or not. I think Texas is the biggest state to watch. If the Vice-President can close that gap, all the way to make it a close race or even carry that state, then I think it’s very clear that he has the momentum and you have a real two man race probably to the end.

We also extended our thoughts and prayers to the people of Nashville, Tennessee who were hit by tornadoes. Unfortunately people have been killed and others are missing. We’re praying for the victims and their families.
