Is tomorrow the moment when Vice-President Biden knocks out the Communist, Senator Bernie Sanders?

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live we discussed tomorrow’s Democrat primaries as well as the current state of the economy.

Things are shifting rapidly in favor of Vice-President Biden. The Democrats look like they have gotten their acts together even before the Democrat National Convention. It looks like Senator Sanders can’t even make a case for his candidacy or that the nomination was taken from him unfairly.

It’s also tough to find a state that Senator Sanders is going to win tomorrow. Yes, some of those states were not states that he was positioned the best for, like Missouri, Idaho, Mississippi, or North Dakota. But what about Michigan? Isn’t Sanders supposed to be the leader of the working people? Maybe auto industry employees actually like the health insurance that they get from their unions. They also might not like Communism.

Washington State is the most shocking. It has now flipped to Vice-President Biden in the latest poll. The former Vice-President doesn’t have a big lead there, but he has a lead of three to four points. This is Washington State. It’s a west coast, northwest, Democrat primary, and if you live there, you know that this should essentially be considered Senator Sanders’ turf.

The fact is that in a matter of two weeks this went from one candidate’s campaign was over (Vice-President Biden’s) and another candidate’s campaign was rocking and rolling towards being the Democrat’s candidate for President (Senator Sanders). Now those candidates’ campaigns have completely switched positions. It has been a complete 180 degree turn.

Senator Sanders could be done after tomorrow night. He could legitimately fall short of achieving enough delegates to make this a close enough race – especially if Vice-President Biden does well tomorrow. We’re talking about six states tomorrow and a potentially huge delegate haul in Michigan.

ACLJ Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett made the following point:

It’s been a complete turnaround. Last week we talked about Michigan and I was talking about how if that did not go Senator Sanders’ way, he was going to be in real trouble. Washington is a lot like South Carolina was for Vice-President Biden. This should not be just an easy win for Senator Sanders, it should be a double digit win and way above that. Maybe twenty or thirty points is what Washington should be in Senator Sanders’ direction. Maybe he can still eke it out. But if it is even close, and he loses both Washington and Michigan, for all intents and purposes I believe it is over.
