A devastating loss for Planned Parenthood – the second in a row at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
On today’s broadcast, we discussed the 9th Circuit’s ruling in a 7 – 4 decision that as the case continues on appeal the Trump Administration can continue to implement Title X regulations that could lead to the defunding of nearly $60 million from Planned Parenthood.
As it was reported:
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected a plea from 20 states and the District of Columbia, as well as abortion providers like Planned Parenthood, to impose an emergency stay after lifting June 20 preliminary injunctions ordered by lower courts in California, Oregon and Washington.
In February, the Department of Health and Human Services overhauled rules governing Title X grants for family-planning services to low-income patients, prohibiting recipients from using the funds to “perform, promote, refer to, or support abortion as a method of family planning.”
The ACLJ is not just talking about this – we’ve been involved in the fight to defund Planned Parenthood, including blocking Title X dollars from abortionists all along. I held up copies of the actual briefs we filed in support of the rule stripping Planned Parenthood of nearly $60 million dollars in Title X taxpayer provided funding.
This ruling is why we continually say it’s crucial to elect conservative leaders who will appoint conservative judges who will choose to stand for preserving and defending life. Without a conservative majority in the 9th Circuit, this may have gone a different way, allowing Planned Parenthood to continue raking in millions through Title X.
As one viewer stated, a loss for Planned Parenthood is a win for life. In their own words, Planned Parenthood called this ruling “devastating,” tweeting:
BREAKING: The Ninth Circuit just refused to block the Title X gag rule, meaning it can go into effect and endanger birth control, cancer screenings, and other essential care for millions. This is devastating.
We can only fight these expensive battles and save defenseless babies because of your unwavering support.
During the show we also discussed the announcement that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress regarding his report has been delayed.

Planned Parenthood, which deceptively claims that abortions are only an infinitesimal part of its business, just set a record for the most abortions committed in a single year. Planned Parenthood’s 2018-2019 annual report shows that while nationally the abortion rate is at an all-time low , Planned...
