Yesterday, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its California abortion clinics filed suit in federal court against the pro-life investigative journalists at Center for Medical Progress (CMP), whose videos have exposed how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of slaughtered babies.

Planned Parenthood continues to receive half a billion of your hard-earned taxpayer dollars each year. Now, Planned Parenthood is using its immense taxpayer-funded resources to target pro-life groups for exposing its own disgusting practices.

The ACLJ continues to defend a pro-life leader – formerly a board member of CMP which released investigative videos exposing the abortion industries' disturbing practice of selling aborted babies' body parts – against a lawsuit brought by the National Abortion Federation (NAF) to silence and censor the truth.  Now, we are once again defending him, this time against Planned Parenthood – the nation’s largest abortion provider – and its latest lawsuit to deflect and distract attention from its true agenda: abortion for profit at whatever cost.

In its lawsuit, big abortion is continuing to spread its misdirection and distortions.  In its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood reveals that it performed 323,999 abortions during its last fiscal year while providing nearly 25% less in non-reproductive health care services. That’s 244,717 less health care services than the previous year.

The Planned Parenthood lawsuit against our client and others claims that there are complex conspiracies being carried out against it when, in fact, the investigative journalists’ work was simply trying to discover whether Planned Parenthood was following federal laws banning profiting off the sale of aborted babies’ body parts. Claiming that pro-life advocates are “dangerous and reckless extremist[s],” Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit is filled with distractions and distortions about the pro-life movement, which continues to use its constitutional rights to defend the right to life for every human being, no matter how small.

Why did Planned Parenthood file this lawsuit?  The truth – exposed in these videos – has damaged the abortion giant’s reputation – propped up for years by pro-abortion propaganda.

We are mobilizing our ACLJ legal team to continue fighting back against Planned Parenthood and big abortion’s legal attacks on the pro-life community.  We have a long record of success in pro-life litigation from coast to coast.

This work is vitally important as we approach the anniversary of Roe v. Wade and the March for Life in Washington, D.C. next week.  Babies’ lives are at stake.
