Was This an October Surprise?

Both President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris were in the spotlight this weekend. First, President Trump put on an apron and went to work at a McDonald’s drive-thru in suburban Pennsylvania. The crowd appeared to love him serving French fries. Was Trump’s brilliant move an October surprise (as opined by Fox News’ Peter Doocy) that super-sizes his reelection chances?

While many critics claim that the event was staged, the Secret Service only allowed select individuals to be served by the President. He was almost assassinated twice in the last few months – they couldn’t just let any random people come up to the drive-thru window. President Trump appeared to genuinely enjoy chatting with voters.

In a rather shocking moment, Vice President Kamala Harris publicly mocked Christians at a Wisconsin rally.

After two Christians yelled out, “Jesus is Lord!” Harris smirkingly responded, “You guys are at the wrong rally. I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.”

We’ve seen firsthand the disdain for Christians in our lawsuits against the Biden-Harris Administration – from the FBI placing spies in churches to the IRS targeting Christians.

In other news, last week was also huge for Israel in its eradication of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. However, the U.S. Department of Defense apparently leaked out Israel’s attack plans on Iran – Speaker of the House Mike Johnson announced an investigation into the source of the leak.

ACLJ Senior Counsel for International and Government Affairs Jeff Ballabon reacted to the leak:

This is potentially a crisis of major global proportions. We’re talking about a terrible enemy of the United States and of the West. Obviously, [Iran] . . . stands on the brink of Iranian nuclear power, potentially nuclear weapons with delivery systems with the stated intention of eradicating Israel, with the stated intention of death to America. And here we have what seems to be a leak from within the Department of Defense, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, to a pro-Iranian account. And, of course, this is on the heels of the last couple of years of profound concern that some of the officials in high levels, very sensitive levels of the American intelligence committee, have ties to Iran and including within this agency.

We shouldn’t be shocked that the Biden-Harris Administration betrayed Israel yet again. The ACLJ continues to steadfastly defend our greatest ally. We recently presented two emergency oral interventions to the U.N. and sent a critical demand letter to 42 nations to defend Israel. We will defend Israel if our Administration will not.
