Biden Blocks Military Aid for Israel

Biden Blocks Military Aid for Israel
STATUS:
Issued

On April 24, 2024, President Biden signed into law a supplemental security bill to help Israel replenish its air defense capabilities and also provide for additional defense needs – pledging his commitment to Israel as "ironclad". However, on May 5, 2024, the Biden Administration paused a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel without explanation. Then three days later, Biden stated that if Israel invaded Rafah, he would halt aid. We've filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Department of Defense and State Department to investigate Biden putting a pause on military aid to Israel.
