We thought it seemed like a lot when there were 17 Republican presidential candidates for the 2016 election, but with yet another contender throwing his hat in the ring, there are now 23 Democrats facing off for their party’s nomination.

Today on the show, we discussed New York Mayor Bill de Blasio officially announcing his candidacy for President yesterday. This is definitely going to be a crowded field for Democrats, especially as the debate season begins.

With 23 candidates, it’s almost too many to go through all of them. Joe Biden seems to be the standout, as he is leading the polls. But there a few names like Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Kamala Harris, and Beto O’Rourke that most of us know well. However there are also a number of these names that won’t ring familiar to many like Julian Castro and John Hickenlooper.

I asked the audience among these 23 Democrats, who among them, if any, do you think has a realistic chance of winning an election against President Trump?

We also updated you on President Trump’s new immigration proposal that he presented yesterday from the White House Rose Garden. It includes cutting chain migration and creating a merit-based immigration system. These are changes we need, and we need them now.
