Former FBI Agent Peter Stzrok is on a revisionist history tour on the Russia Hoax.

On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed disgraced former FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s Russia Hoax revisionist history tour. Stzrok is out on the promotional circuit to promote his new book; which shall remain nameless, but while he’s in the media’s attention, he’s using the opportunity to spread his biased and revisionist version of the events surrounding the Russia Hoax.

While touting his new book, Peter Stzrok was asked the following by CBS’ news correspondent David Martin:

Is it sloppy work, or is it FBI agents trying too hard to get something on members of the Trump campaign?

Stzrok responded:

I don't think at all that it's anything improper. You get people who are overworked, who make mistakes, and don't get me wrong, inexcusable mistakes.

Before we get into the meat of this, I wanted to remind you what Attorney General Barr said on Fox News in April:

The evidence shows that we're not dealing with just mistakes or sloppiness. There is something far more troubling here, and we're going to get to the bottom of it.

I wanted to go back over the Peter Stzrok situation because I thought it was appropriate to get a sense of what may be coming with regards to the investigation currently underway by U.S. Attorney John Durham. Peter Stzrok is basically on this publicity tour right now because he’s got a new book out. But what it seems he’s more interested in is rewriting the history of the Russia Hoax.

Now Sztrok is downplaying what happened, essentially saying, look, there were mistakes made, bad mistakes but it’s due to overwork. By Sztork’s account, inexcusable mistakes were made simply due to exhausted FBI officials. Stzrok is not telling the truth here. As we’ve said and demonstrated many times, they wanted to close the case against General Flynn and it was Peter Sztrok himself who wanted to keep it going.

ACLJ Senior Counsel Andy Ekonomou made the following point:

The findings were that there was no evidence against General Flynn but the determination on the part of Peter Stzrok to find something against him prevented the case from being closed. He directed, and he was in a position to do so because he was in a high authoritative position at the FBI, that last-minute reversal driven as it says by the Bureau’s highest levels of officials including Peter Stzrok who said, ‘Hey, don’t close Razor. The 7th Floor is involved.’ That’s the highest echelons of the FBI, McCabe, Comey, Bruce Ohr, the people at the highest levels of the J. Edgar Hoover FBI Building. That’s where the 7th floor is located. Peter Stzrok did not want it closed. He said no, we want to keep it open.

This is a lousy, and even fraudulent, excuse for the massive wrongdoing against General Flynn. Regardless of Stzrok’s account, the truth always will be that the Obama-Biden Administration was out to get President Trump from even before day one.
