FBI CONFIRMS Existence of Biden Bribery Document
Remember a few weeks ago when we told you that U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer had sent a letter referencing reports from an FBI whistleblower of a file in the agency’s possession that details a tradeoff of $5 million in exchange for foreign policy favors – also known as a bribe – involving President Joe Biden when he was V.P. under Obama?
Congress demanded that the FBI hand over the file, but the agency refused, clearly trying to once again shield its boss, Joe Biden, and his troubled son.
Well, now the plot thickens, or at least gets even more disturbing, as the Director of the FBI just admitted that the file indeed exists – but they still won’t turn it over. According to Comer, FBI Director Christopher Wray told him the file exists, and he can come look at a redacted version of it, but he can’t have it or share it with anyone.
As reported by the New York Post:
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said no deal Wednesday after FBI Director Christopher Wray offered to let him privately review an informant file alleging President Biden was involved in a bribery scheme while vice president.
Comer (R-Ky.) said after his early-afternoon call with Wray that the FBI chief confirmed the existence of an FD-1023 informant file from June 2020 accusing Biden of corruption and offered Comer and committee ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) “in camera review” of the document.
The FBI had refused to share the document ahead of a Tuesday deadline following a May 3 subpoena from Comer, which the chairman said he would enforce with contempt proceedings against Wray.In a statement following the call, Comer indicated the document standoff would continue, saying: “Today, FBI Director Wray confirmed the existence of the FD-1023 form alleging then-Vice President Biden engaged in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national. However, Director Wray did not commit to producing the documents subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee.
For being the man in charge of the FBI, Chris Wray doesn’t seem to understand how criminal investigations work. It’s not that far off from a defense attorney telling the prosecution, “Yes, the murder weapon exists, and we have it, but it could prove our client’s guilt, so you can see it, but you can’t admit it as evidence.”
We used to be a constitutional republic of laws and checks and balances. Since the Bidens moved into the White House, America has become a banana republic. The Justice Department can’t just change the rules and procedures when the President gets implicated in criminal behavior. If the file exists, turn it over now. If Biden didn’t do anything, it should exonerate him. So TURN IT OVER NOW.
And if Wray continues to refuse to comply, then he needs to be held in contempt of Congress, which Rep. Comer has reportedly promised will indeed happen:
“While Director Wray – after a month of refusing to even acknowledge that the form existed – has offered to allow us to see the documents in person at FBI headquarters, we have been clear that anything short of producing these documents to the House Oversight Committee is not in compliance with the subpoena,” Comer went on. “If the FBI fails to hand over the FD-1023 form as required by the subpoena, the House Oversight Committee will begin contempt of Congress proceedings.”
For its part, the FBI stated it is withholding the file in order to safeguard “[T]he confidentiality and safety of sources and important investigative sensitivities.” So they’re worried that Congress will somehow taint their investigation? Give us a break. The FBI doesn’t get to refuse to cooperate with the Legislative branch. Especially not if they’ve all but admitted they have the smoking gun back at the office, but they don’t want anyone to see it.
Stop shielding the President. This story isn’t going away. Congress will keep chipping away. We will investigate every possible legal option to help chip away. Sooner or later, the façade will crumble and we’ll see the truth. Far be it from me to speak for Director Wray, but I’d say it will be better in the long run to have cooperated than to have been exposed as part of a cover-up.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more analysis of this revelation that the FBI confirmed the file but is still refusing to turn it over – only give Comer a little peek. We’re also joined by Tennessee Senator Marsh Blackburn to update us on the debt limit bill that just passed the U.S. House and will now be debated in the Senate as the clock continues to count down closer to a government default.
