Fauci Backtracking on COVID-19 Origin

The possibility that the coronavirus was manufactured in the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China was dismissed by the media, experts, and the Left. As more and more evidence continues pointing to this theory being correct, those same groups of people have changed their mind.

The Chinese Communist Party is at the very least guilty of a cover-up of a virus that came out of Wuhan that killed millions of people and destroyed economies around the world. We aren’t sure if this was intentional or not yet, but if it was, there should be serious consequences worldwide for China.

Former President Trump said he saw evidence pointing to the fact that this came from a lab in Wuhan, China, and the media mocked him for it. Now, the media and several “experts” are coming around to find out that former President Trump was likely correct.

Flashback to what Dr. Anthony Fauci said in May of 2020 during the Trump Administration:

If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, (the scientific evidence) is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated . . . . Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that (this virus) evolved in nature and then jumped species.

One year later, now under the Biden Administration, Dr. Fauci has changed his mind once again and dropped a bombshell saying he is not convinced it developed naturally. Dr. Fauci was asked are you still confident that it developed naturally? He responded:

I am not convinced about that. I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened.

Who is going to get to the bottom of this? When asked why the Biden Administration is not attempting to find the origin of the virus, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded:

We have repeatedly called for the World Health Organization (WHO) to support an expert-driven evaluation of the pandemic’s origins that is free from interference or politicization.

She added:

An international investigation led by the World Health Organization is something that we’ve actually been pressing for several months. In coordination with a range of partners around the world, we need that data, we need that information from the Chinese government. What we can’t do, and I would caution anyone doing, is leaping ahead of an actual international process. We don’t have enough data and information to jump to a conclusion at this point in time.

Why would anyone trust the World Health Organization (WHO) to lead this effort? It has been complicit in the cover-up. The WHO has been taken over by China. The Biden Administration is not serious about this investigation and continues to rely on Dr. Fauci and the WHO which have both proven to not be reliable.

ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has insight into what the Biden Administration needs to do to hold China accountable:

So, I will give three easy answers . . . . One, kick them out of the World Health Organization. They corrupted it, they politicized it, they conspired alongside it. They should not be a part of an international body whose sole function is to prevent pandemics. WHO has one job when it comes to pandemics and they failed. China shouldn’t be part of it. Second, there is an Olympics in 2021. It’s called the Genocide Olympics because of what’s happening in Western China. The whole world should say I’m not going to send my athletes, my press, my businesses, to this place and reward a regime that is continuing to deny the world information about the pandemic that is the worst one in 100 years. A third one is we know some of the leaders. We should put real pressure on them by sanctioning them for their role in the cover-up. And then there’s a half a dozen other things that would be straightforward and are within the control of leaders today. And we can pose real costs on the Chinese Communist Party. And when the costs are high enough, the Chinese Communist Party will have to come clean.

As we’ve told you, under the Biden Administration China is winning. If China is found to be responsible for an intentional leak of the coronavirus, then they need to be held accountable by leaders around the globe and President Biden. The world deserves to know the truth behind a virus that killed over 3.48 million people. We can learn from Dr. Fauci’s many missteps and the media’s biased reporting to not always trust the “experts.” A year has gone by and we still don’t have answers.
