The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has wrongly permitted hundreds of immigrants scheduled for deportation to be given citizenship. DHS incompetence poses a major security threat to the United States because many of these immigrants come from known terrorist-haven countries.

In fact, of the aliens wrongfully given citizenship, 1 served in a sensitive position as a law enforcement officer, 3 possessed security clearances to ports or airports, and 2 were referred to the FBI for investigation of links to terrorism.

Nonetheless, after the ineptitude of DHS was revealed by a report from the Office of the Inspector General, the Obama Administration has taken little or no action to reverse this mistake.

Responding to this situation, the ACLJ has prepared a Freedom of Information Act Request and a legal memorandum explaining the process of de-naturalization (the legal process of reversing citizenship for individuals who received citizenship unlawfully).

In response to questions posed by listeners this week on Jay Sekulow Live, we are providing a link to our full memorandum, which explains the legal statutes and processes involved in reversing citizenship for individuals who received citizenship unlawfully.
