Failed Democrat candidate for President, Mike Bloomberg is trying to activate a felon voter base for Vice President Joe Biden. We’re not kidding.
On today’s Jay Sekulow Live, we discussed Mike Bloomberg’s plot to pay fines and fees for minority convicted felons in Florida, for the stated purpose of increasing votes for Joe Biden. This looks to be a blatant violation of the law, potentially even violating the RICO statute.
Congressman Matt Gaetz said last night on Fox News that there may already be a criminal investigation under way.
Remember Mike Bloomberg announced that he was going to spend one hundred million dollars to help former Vice President Joe Biden win Florida. He announced that about a month ago. He’s a billionaire and has the money. It is also his right to choose sides politically. What you can’t do is violate election laws, state and federal. You can’t buy votes for someone. That’s a known thing you can’t do in America. In fact, you can’t give someone money to donate to a candidate either. You can’t do that. You go to jail for that. It is much worse if you are buying votes.
We have identified a significant vote share that requires a nominal investment . . . . The data shows that in Florida, Black voters are a unique universe unlike any other voting bloc, where the Democratic support rate tends to be 90%-95%.
So they’re paying the court fines and fees of almost thirty-two thousand Black and Hispanic Floridians with felony convictions so that they can vote in the presidential election. In Florida, if you’ve already served your time, you’re out of prison, and your fees have been paid, your right to vote is restored. They actually said it was an effort aimed at boosting Democrat turnout for Vice President Biden.
ACLJ Director of Government Affairs Thann Bennett talked about the potential for this backfiring:
One thing I don’t think you can do is slip this past the American people. I think this is going to backfire on them. Now look, there’s got to be political election law enforcement that happens; but as far as appealing to the American people and appealing to undecided voters about having a fair and open process, I think it will backfire. I think the American people know that this is fraudulent.
When you try to buy votes, you are violating state and federal law. There have got to be consequences to these actions. The Department of Justice and the Attorney General of Florida need to open up an investigation immediately.
